I think this is gonna start a trend. I'm surprised that the utilization of dog whistles wasn't used. A nice movie that entertains while watching without ever getting tired, Adam Sandler despite being an actor who only makes comic films, in this role he was very good, the ending is truly unexpected. Below Average movie. High ratings are for people that thought that Adam did a good job acting, rather than being funny, not for the simplistic movie it was. Poor simple story line.

I wanted a win for Sandler's character and he finally caught a big win, with consequences of course. Reminded me of the film Gravity. Will keep you tense for the whole ride. WTF did I just watch? I rarely write reviews anymore, but, honestly, this one is so bad I could'nt leave it alone.
About 95% of the movie consists of Jewish and/or people of color scuffling about, cursing and shouting at each other.
The rest is a confusing amalgamate of con artist, sports- and crimemovie.
Utterly confusing, utterly pointless, IMHO where I really can's see the touted "stand out performance of Sandler. Sorry, I was not impressed.

This film is the reason Matt Reeves trusted Rob for Batman. ✊🏼. This was hilarious ha. You've now conditioned me to whenever I hear something slightly incestuous, like a joke or some weird book we're reading in literature to instinctively go FaThEr. and then hear a shotgun. Makes me think of 2k. FA-THER! I just cant get that out of my head now... Nothing too say positive about this movie. Terrible story, acting and long boring, screaming and nonsense speed dialogues. Spare too see it. In the original, I've a hard time believing he completely forgot the painful truth his life had become. Over the course of 15 years, he had taught himself to smile desperately whenever he felt sad. In the end, after the hypnosis, he smiles the same way he used to when sad. Even if he forgot it on a surface level, I think he's still aware of the fucked up thing that happened to him.

Grain Silos actually kills alot of people every year. Once you fall in you cannot get out. The thing is that we love Adam Sandler. I've been watching him for 25 years now and we criticize his goofy roles because we see greater potential in him, which is why Uncut Gems is so great. We root for him despite being one of the most self sabotaging and selfish characters I can remember seeing because we love Adam Sandler. Phoenix was going to win the Oscar no matter what, but Sandler should have gotten a nom over DeNiro, Hanks or Leo. Guys who didn't need the nomination. After Good Time and Gems, I'll watch anything the Safdie Bros make.
